The way you speak about yourself holds more power than you can imagine. Honoring your body is honoring yourself. It is embracing all your imperfections and your perceived flaws. It is self-love at the highest level. You ARE worthy of good things. Honoring your body, taking care of yourself physically, mentally, emotionally will elevate you higher than you can imagine and make you a magnet to all good things. While it’s a process for most of us and might take more time for some than others, it IS possible.
Loving your body the way it is starts with accepting yourself and includes nourishing yourself with healthy things, not only food, but words and people. In also includes sleeping, self-care rituals, being active and always learning new things. Self-respect also comes into play. Don’t do things with your body that make you feel unworthy, this includes being intimate with others just for a momentary high which brings you crashing down after.
If we take care of our body it will, in turn, take care of us. Not honoring your body will further exacerbate feelings of unworthiness, unhappiness and loneliness. It all comes down to you. What are you doing to honor YOUR body? Think about it and this week’s mantra will help.
This week’s mantra:
“I will honor my body.”
Write it down. Repeat it. BELIEVE IT!
