It’s Written in the Stars … or is it?

We are all guilty of checking our horoscopes every now and then (some of us every day). There’s something about knowing what kind of day we’re going have that will help us get through the day. Better to know that your co-worker is going to stab you in back ahead of time, or that love is on the horizon … don’t forget to smile at that hotty who lives down the street from you. So is this a bunch of BS or is this the real deal? I took on a little experiment. I went on the web to read my daily horoscope from different sources, I just put in “daily horoscope leo” in the search engine. I immediately got thousands of hits. So I decided to click on a few of them. Immediately I got some good news and bad news. Each one was different in its own way. There was one that was way off. Depending on which one I read I was either going to have an amazing day or I should hide under a rock today. Hmmm … so does this totally debunk the whole horoscope and astrological sign business. Well, I think when it comes to daily horoscopes, yes. However, when it comes to astrological signs, I think there is some value. Let me explain.

As you all know, depending on when we are born, we are assigned a sign. I am a Leo … and oh what a Leo! I fit the character to a “T”. Generally when you look at descriptions and characteristics of a certain sign, it’s pretty accurate. Of course, not every characteristic applies to everyone, but in general it is a pretty good judge of the person. I always look this information up when I meet someone, whether romantically or not. I find it gives me a good indication of what to expect. Some of you may be laughing, but it’s true. Think about it. Think of someone you know well, what sign are they? Look up the characteristics of that sign, don’t you see a lot of similarities? So far when dating, I have been right on the ball. I think compatibility depends on the person, but certain signs are more compatible than others. Now I refuse to date Taurus, Aries, Scorpios and I’m on the fence with Geminis. I came to this conclusion by dating more than one of each sign, and my ex hubby was a Taurus so that’s an immediate write off! Actually, I am tending to enjoy other Leos better. What is better than two lazy lions lying around doing nothing but adoring each other?
