Casual dates are all about comfort because when you don’t have to worry about what you’re wearing you will enjoy the company and what you’re doing. Whether you’re going for a coffee, for a walk, bowling or to a movie, you want to look hot but still feel comfortable, so what to do? While we all have a “go to” outfit for these situations, sometimes it’s OK to try something new.
Recently, I was challenged to get out of my comfort zone and try on things I wouldn’t normally pick off the rack. Because we should leave some things to the experts, I gave the lovely ladies at Vincent women’s boutique here in Ottawa free reign over what they thought would look best on me for a casual date night and they certainly didn’t disappoint! What they stressed was not being high maintenance, especially when you’re ding something more casual. Regardless of your body type, what’s important is to find clothes that fit well and suit your body type. Layering with a coat or jacket and a scarf also help accessorize your outfit and hides those little parts of you that you don’t want to show off, and let’s face it, it makes your outfit way more interesting as well.

I usually just wear a nice pair of pants and a decent top. Same is if I go anywhere.
