I Will Not Place Too Much Importance on the Opinion of Others [Monday Mantra]

These posts are meant to lead you be your most empowered self and help you overcome those things that are holding you back from reaching your goals. Some of this might resonate with you, or not, and I’m not here to judge anyone or their actions, only to give you something to think about.

Imagine it. An existence without worrying about what people thing about you or feel towards you. You do what is best for you, you know your worth and you fill your own cup. Only you know you the best, no one else is qualified to have an opinion. If someone else’s opinion triggers you, I would challenge you to ask yourself why.

Judging others comes naturally to many of us, likewise we expect them to judge us – this is why we place so much importance on the opinions of others. But their judgements stem from seeing you with their lens and their opinion is more a reflection of THEM than it is you.

Placing too much weight on the opinion of others gives them all the power and takes it away from you. You will miss out on a lot when you live life for others. The articles and segments this week, while maybe difficult for some, are meant to lead you be your most empowered self and help you overcome those things that are holding you back from reaching your goals.

You are awesome, capable and whole … believe it. I believe in you. Only when YOU believe it can you reach your full potential. It takes time and it is not easy for most, but it is worth the work. You are worth it.

This week on Diva of Love and Blast the Radio we will be discussing how to not place too much weight on the opinion of others.  We will cover the topics of “taking offence”, “seeking validation” and “victim mentality”. See you there!

This week’s mantra:
“I will not place too much importance on the opinion of others.”

Write it down. Repeat it. BELIEVE IT!
