Growth NOT Optional [Lessons Learned With Suzie]

Change is part of life, we all know that. Some of us embrace it more readily than others. Me, I have a more challenging time with change. Here’s how I’ve learned to adapt and embrace it to reach a place of growth.

How to Embrace Change in Your Life:

  • Acknowledge your feelings about the change happening in your life.
  • Make the change work FOR your and not against you = ADAPT.
  • Define your place in your new reality = POWER..
  • Stop complaining or venting about it to others. Don’t be a victim.
  • See change as a good thing / opportunity for growth.

My life was turned upside down and inside out over the past few year. All my intended personal goals were uprooted and exposed. I was forced to adapt and embrace the change. Although, I have to admit, it has taken me some time to get to this point. Change really is inevitable. It’s harder for some (like me) to adapt. We can’t always have full control of our environment but we can control what we do with the pieces that are handed to us.

This is where growth comes in. Taking change as an opportunity for growth and self development turns the change into something positive. Live life forward. Go with the flow. It’s the only way to thrive. We’ve definitely learned this lesson the past couple of years with all the pandemic measures. While you don’t always have to “drink the kool aid”, you definitely need to know how to work within its constraints. Next time change arises, ask yourself how you can use it to your advantage.

One. Step. At. A. Time.
