These posts are meant to lead you be your most empowered self and help you overcome those things that are holding you back from reaching your goals. Some of this might resonate with you, or not, and I’m not here to judge anyone or their actions, only to give you something to think about.
We are really good at deflecting the blame to others for our life’s circumstances. We like to be the victim; we do not like to take responsibility for our own role in any situation, especially the negative ones. An important part of growing and empowering yourself is recognizing that we have an integral role to play in our life story.
We can either attract good or bad things but we must also be creators in our own destiny. We must write our own narrative and stop being passive observers or defeatists in our own lives.
While we blame bad luck for things that happen, being unlucky has nothing to do with it. We should be able to take any situation and use it to empower us. True some people are born into more privilege than others are, but regardless it does not guarantee a successful life. Hard work and taking advantage of opportunities presented to us does.
You can attract so many better things in your life when you step out of your comfort zone. If you stay in your comfort zone, you will almost certainly ensure that you miss a lot in life. You deserve better than that. Comfort zones can end up being traps where you end up in an endless cycle of the same old same olds. Think of it as a hamster wheel, you are not going anywhere, just round and round and round.
Your energy, attitude, words and actions can either attract good things your way or unfortunate circumstances. It is not bad luck, it is bad choices. You are not unlucky. Think back to those events you thought were bad luck. Was it actually bad luck or did you choose that path? Most likely, it was your choices. Gratitude also plays a significant part in this. When you live a life of gratitude, you attract more things to be grateful for because you see the good and useful in everything.
While some people certainly start life on an easier foot, they do not all end up that way. What sets people’s path apart? What they do with the lot that they are given and the opportunities presented to them. You CAN create the life you want. While most people can do this, many will not because it takes a lot of hard work and focus and it is much easier just to stay in their comfort zone.
- When something happens to you, good or bad, you need to ask yourself if you attracted it or if you created it.
- You have a significant amount of control over your life and circumstances than you give yourself credit.
- Making your own luck consists of a lot of creating and doing, sometimes outside your comfort zone.
- You can attract good or unfortunate things by your words and actions.
- Gratitude plays a significant part in what you attract to yourself.
TRY THIS: Make a list of the good, bad and ugly things that have happened to you in the past. Reflect on them and what control you had over the outcome for each. Could you have made different choices? Should you have?
